Clint Fystro Remembrance
St. Albert Minor Baseball Association wants to celebrate the life of an Albertan who did a great deal for the development of baseball in our province.
Clint Fystro passed away on May 31st after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a great friend to many of us … and to the game of baseball. His legacy will be remembered by all of us who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held on June 16th at the SAMBA Clubhouse from 1-4pm. He was a great man, husband (Wendy), father (Doug/Carly, Bob/Andrea, AJ/Sabrina), grandpa (Ella, Jaxen, Max, Quinn, Hudson, Ripken), and friend.
He was Past president of Baseball Alberta and the Western Canadian Baseball Association…
Clint was the GM for Team Alberta at the Canada Games and a Director with the Okotoks Dawgs since they got started in 2003.
He was voted Baseball Canada Volunteer of the year in 2016 and voted into the Okotoks Dawgs Hall of Fame in 2017.
Clint influenced the growth of baseball locally, provincially, nationally and internationally
His 3 sons Doug, Bob, and AJ all played US collegiate baseball … he and his wife, Wendy, were an integral part of their boys’ success.
Clint will be missed by so many friends and family. We thank him, his 3 sons and his wife Wendy for all their contributions to the game of Baseball.
